Can We End World Hunger?
World hunger is one the most
prominent issue all over the world in most of the unprivileged, underdeveloped,
and even some of the developing countries and regions. There are about 8.9% of
the overall world population is comprised of almost 690 million people that
sleep each night with a hungry stomach. It keeps on rising at a rapid speed
since 2014 and if it will be continued with this pace then it will cross 840
million of hunger people by the end of 2030. The question is whether we can end
world hunger or not is self-explanatory and most questionable to the world’s
leaders and various authorities including the government and a private
philanthropist. Though the contribution of WHO, UNESCO, and other global
philanthropists is admirable in reducing poverty and hunger mostly in African
regions and other sub-Saharan countries. But this is not sufficient enough as
the statistics are still showing a rise year by year due to the increasing
population. Cannabidiol (CBD) and THC oil are kinds of product
ingredients originated from natural plants that are used in different food and
beverage items with some good and side effects. CBS is good in reducing anxiety
and depression (nonpsychoactive) where consumers take various health benefits
while the excessive consumption of THC is affecting anxiety & Paranoia, dry
mouth, dry red eyes, munchies & hunger, lethargy & sleepiness, impaired
memory, etc.
I am in a strong favor that Yes, we
can end hunger with the mutual support of the government bodies of most
developed countries and the world’s most renowned capitalists, socialists,
activists including the non-government organizations. This should be possible
only with proper coordination and cooperation followed by uniform policies and
procedures to be implemented at the global and state level. Reducing world
hunger is the sole responsibility of every human empowered with wealth and
resources to create the balance between poverty and richness. For this, The
Gate Foundation is committed to $ 1.8 billion to date spending on small and
poor farmers specifically in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. They are
targeting mostly the women to help them in growing and selling more food for
hunger and poverty reduction.
In the end, it is to be suggested
that same like Gate Foundation, WHO and UNESCO, etc. there many other
philanthropists and government bodies who can jointly take initiatives to
reduce or even end world hunger. Furthermore, there is a need to introduce
universal standards and policies to be followed equally in every state for
wealth distribution amongst the hungry and poor peoples and introduce programs
that enable them to stand on their feet through SMEs. Startups all over the
world. This is the only way through which we will be successful in reducing
poverty and killing hunger in each part of the unprivileged areas. If it is to
be continued for the next 5 years then we can say that we can get control of
hunger and poverty. If it is to be sustained then we can end world hunger by
the end of 2031.
